Biography
Janet Gulley received her BSME from OSU in 1986 and began her career in power generation. She is currently Engineer IV and acting Manager of Mechanical Engineering at Portland General Electric. She joined Portland General Electric after graduation, beginning as a design engineer in nuclear plant engineering. She progressed to become a senior systems engineer at the Trojan Nuclear Plant and to project management for fossil-fuel power plants. She was recently in charge of the successful upgrade of the Boardman power plant to increase capacity to 600 MW, providing an additional capacity of 45 MW, 35 of which required no added fuel consumption. Gulley has also served on the OSU Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board.
